Titles I read in 2014

Book Heart

When I say I’m an avid reader, I’m not kidding. Luckily, I also read fast…and never sleep. I tend to have comfort genres and while, most years, I try for more variety–this year I let myself get away with just reading what I felt like reading.

I’m posting the list, but only showing the ratings on books over four stars–and I missed ratings on a few of the early books, so anything without a rating could be something I read early in the year or something I moodily decided I didn’t like this year. I actually do have some reviews on a personal document, so if you ask me my opinion on a specific book, I can probably tell you more. As you can see, I like most of what I read, but that’s typically because I read based on recommendations or after checking out a lot of reviews.

Believe it or not, I also wrote four books this year and revised several. And there were about four months of this year that I didn’t read a single book. Yeah, I don’t know how I managed to read this many books either. I really need to transfer this list to Goodreads, but that sounds like such a process it intimidates me. I should really pick a top ten reads of the year–but maybe another day–this has taken forever.

Oh, and while I don’t review books professionally, I should probably mention that I buy all my books. I own copies of all the books below. They weren’t gifted by authors or publishers in exchange for a review. I know…my book budget is a little…insane.

  1. Can’t match you, Ms. Speedy Reader. That right there would be about a three-year list for me. At least. I DID get the Doctor Who quotes book for Christmas, though, and yes, many Post-it’s have been stuck to mark special quotes.

    • Wow, that’s weird. I know I replied to this comment. I wonder if I replied to the one I deleted and so it got deleted…

Anyway…I’m excited that we at least matched up on one book…and especially on a book I loved. That was such a fantastic book. I’m not sure if this latest doctor has as many great lines, though.
