YAY! It’s All Flaky! -Contest

So, I have two winter novellas out now, Frosted and Stealing Time. TWO! That’s two more than I had this time last year! We should celebrate. I know, let’s do an awesome giveaway. What should I give away?

Well, a gift card, of course…because you guys need money for more books…don’t lie, I know you do. So, boom! Done! A $10 USD Amazon gift card is on the line!

What else…maybe this snowflake necklace that I bought specifically FOR this giveaway! Well, that’s convenient.

Snowflake Necklace2

It’s really gorgeous in person. I like it. A lot. *secretly plans to keep for herself* Those are Swarovski crystals and the pendant itself is about the size of a dime. It’s on an 18 inch silver chain. Seriously perfect in person. *opens box to look again* *enters drawing under the name Sneaky McSneakerson*

You’ll receive the gift card via email before Christmas, but the necklace will be after Christmas. (The contest ends on the first day of Winter…which Frosted is centered around.)

If you haven’t seen/read either of my winter novellas, here’s a little info on them:

Frosted

Frosted cover

Seven years ago, Kate Finley fell through the ice into the Winter World  and straight into the heart of its king, Jack Frost. Then cold feet set in  and Kate ran from the one man who made her feel complete.

Jack let his queen go back to the mortal world to say goodbye but she  escaped out of his reach to sunny Florida. Now time is short, and he  must convince his runaway bride to give him a second chance to melt  her heart.

Stealing Time

She’s out of time, but he’s holding it back for her.

As a son of Father Time, Zeit is required each year to sacrifice one human’s lifetime to the Fates in exchange for changing the fate of others. Last year, he did a bad thing—he substituted a man having a heart attack right next to his chosen mortal, Hannah. The Fates wouldn’t be denied, though, and they’ve been after Hannah for a year. He’s stayed in the background and saved her life time and again. There’s just something about her. A week ought to be long enough to get her out of his system. Then, on New Year’s Eve, he can take her lifetime, and things can go back to normal.

When a guy turned and winked at her right after she’d lost time again, Hannah was more than a little frustrated. The doctors can’t figure out what is wrong with her. What she needs is a week’s holiday spent in a skiing lodge where she can unwind during the week between Christmas and New Year’s. What she gets is a near death experience and a sexy immortal trying to figure out what makes her tick. Falling in love with an immortal certainly isn’t in her plans, but he is saving her life and she’d really appreciate him continuing that.Even Zeit can’t stop the march of time indefinitely, and he has his hands full trying to keep her alive, but losing Hannah—well, that might be a fate worse than death.

Okay…now that you’ve seen the books….

    Dang it! (commenting “dang it”-hahaha)

What a beautiful necklace. I just picked up On His List last week and inching its way up my TBR list. Now going to have to pick up Frosted. What a gorgeous man on the cover. Thanks for the awesome giveaway.

Hey, Frosted sounds neat. (Amalia sent me!)

I keep trying to figure out if his eyes are that color, or if photoshop helped. XD

Beautiful necklace! Almost as nice as your books.

  11. I was going to “Dang it” but someone was faster than Haha… I so cannot wait to get my hands on Frosted. Love that cover!

  12. Meera says:

Gorgeous necklace! And I want these finals over with so I can read!

  13. Christine says:

*whispers* I skimped on schooling my kids today so I could read Stealing Time. Totally worth it! I love Hannah and Zeit, rhymes with night. I can’t wait until Push Me comes out in the spring. I think I have enough time to re-read Frosted before the holiday rush too.
BTW, my kids had a blast snuggling on the couch and watching…’educational’ programs for a while. My Little Pony & Phineas and Ferb count as educational, right? Ok, not MLP, but Phineas and Ferb are educational for sure!
    Love your writerly stuff Wendy!

    • I shouldn’t approve of this…it shouldn’t have made me laugh…but I do and it did. (I’m shameful.) I’m so glad you liked it. *hugs* And Phineas and Ferb is TOTALLY educational. Also, I love it. I never get tired of watching Phineas and Ferb.

  14. Okay, i totally need to meet Frost. Any guy with icy blues like that has to be dreamy! 🙂

And oh, I want that necklace 😀

  15. Susan Gorman says:

    Great excerpts and contest!
    Love Jack’s eyes!

  16. annie sisk says:

I want this real bad for me. [/innerFiveYearOld]

  17. Honor says:

I downloaded Frosted yesterday, and loved it! Jack is officially a keeper. 🙂

    • I’m so glad you liked it! Your name made me do a double take, though. I have a whole series of unpubbed books where the main character is named Honor. For a moment, I thought I’d split from reality until I came to my senses. 😀

      • Honor says:

It’s funny how many people ask me how to pronounce it. Hopefully, I keep my “Are you kidding me?” look hidden. There definitely aren’t that many Honors around, though I did read a Sandra Brown book last year in which an Honor was the lead. I’d love to read any of your Honor books! 🙂 I started with The Teacher’s Vet, and have been hooked on your work since!

        • I wondered how you’d found me!

One of my goals for 2014 is to get the first of the Honor books–Honor Among Thieves–published. *fingers crossed* Honor has a large following already actually because some deadtree beta copies of the first three were passed around a few years back. That’s my goal anyway. We’ll see if I’m buried under other things and can’t quite manage it. There are seven books currently, but the last few haven’t gone through as much revision as the initial ones have.

Oh, and you wouldn’t believe how many people mispronounce or misspell Sparrow. It makes me weep for mankind. Especially since saying, “Like the pirate,” seems to help so much more than, “like the bird.”

          • Honor says:

Wonderful! Your work will keep my reading coffers full! Especially with all this doggone cold weather we have – nothing’s better than snuggling in with a good book.

As for mispronouncing Sparrow, I shall weep right alongside you.

  18. Honor says:

I just purchased Stealing Time, have read 5 pages, and am already hooked. Love!

  19. Honor says:

I just purchased On His List, so I know how I’ll be spending this evening! 🙂

    • 😀 I hope you liked it. On His List has a special place in my heart since it deals with an OCD character. I secretly–okay not-so-secretly–want the world to find those with OCD hot. 😉

      • Honor says:

It was sweet, and Owen is definitely hot! I read your acknowledgments; I didn’t realize you have OCD. I’m pretty much the antithesis of OCD, but my poor, beleaguered husband has OCD tendencies, so we’re quite the pair. We’ve been married 20 years, and we’ve reached the point where the sound of my chewing has begun to bother him. That doesn’t bode well for the next 20 years, but if I have to eat oatmeal every day forever, he’d be worth it! Haha. Thanks for another great book (though I’d love to see where Owen and Remy are now…)

  20. john ross barnes says:

Loved Frosted, Stealing Time in my TBR que. I particularly love the parts where you put little bits into your heroine that are basically you.

    • I think it’d be impossible not to, but it’s like a Where’s Waldo for friends that’s for sure.

Although…I’ve started picking stuff up from my characters too. In On My List, Remy mentions how she needs a parade for managing to sit still…and I never said that until after I’d written it. So, you know…that’s creepy.

  21. Melody May says:

You must be really busy at this time. Is the holiday stealing your time. HAHAHA. I hope everything is going good for and I will talk to you later.

  22. Argghhh!!! I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to sit down and enjoy a book in a while… next one though, FROSTED =D

  23. Brandy B says:

    Thank you for the contest!!!
