I know. The post’s title. Dudes, I messed up my shoulder and I’m on pain pills–I’m using it as an excuse for everything really. It’s the drugs! Or, if you thought it was clever…it’s not the drugs… See, there you go!
Okay, but seriously… I’m way behind in announcing stuff, but I wanted to do a giveaway to celebrate Stealing Time being rereleased in the anthology The Naughty List.
Stealing Time by Wendy Sparrow
As Father Time’s son, Zeit must sacrifice a mortal’s lifetime to the Fates each New Year’s Eve. Last year—inexplicably, really—he made an 11:59 substitution. The Fates are pissed and they’re after his mortal Hannah. With the year ending, he ought to figure out why he’d saved her—and why he keeps doing it. Following an unlucky year, Hannah needs a week’s holiday in a lodge to unwind. What she gets is near-death experiences and a sexy immortal who can’t avoid kissing her, but might have to kill her. After all, even Zeit can’t hold back time indefinitely.
Since Zeit in the story is such a big fan of chocolate oranges…that’s what I’m giving away. Four chocolate oranges! Booyah!
I’m also giving away a $10 USD Amazon gift card. The gift card is international. In my mind, I can see the oranges arriving as a pile of sludge in Australia so I’m not tempting the Fates. Oranges are stateside. Sorry, my sweet internationalites…maybe next giveaway.
- By entering the giveaway, you are confirming you are at least 18 years old.
- 2 winners will be chosen via Rafflecopter to receive each of the prizes.
- This giveaway begins December 9th and ends on…see Rafflecopter countdown.
- Winners will be contacted via email after contest ends.
- Winner has 24 hours to reply. I’ll ship/order ASAP, but the oranges might be a post 12/25 treat.
- Winners’ entries will be verified, so don’t be a cheater, cheater pumpkin-eater because you’ll destroy my faith in humanity. And some days that faith in humanity is hanging by a thread, people! By a thread!
Good luck! I hope you win!
Hope you feel better soon. Looks good!!
You said to comment, so I will tell a story!
My mother is allergic to chocolate. When she was a wee child, she was actually deathly allergic to chocolate, citrus, and nuts — so I don’t know exactly what was her will to live, but she trucked on. I mean, she survived being a preemie in the 60’s, so I suppose a few food allergies is nothing. Eventually, this allergy became less severe, and she grew up to enjoy food.
Except she’s not really not allergic to these things. So my mother, bless her, would buy the chocolate oranges when money wasn’t so tight when I was a child and enjoy a few slices of them before having these long, protracted coughing fits. Presumably her body is yelling, “Shut it down! For the love of god, do something to stop her from putting this allergen in here!” But my mom is undeterred. She loves her chocolate, and we love her. And also we love chocolate.
This comments is less for Wendy and more for EVERYONE:
Stealing Time is my #1 most favorite hands down absolute best holiday novella read, and you should all be buying this anthology post haste because as far as I’m concerned, STEALING TIME should have been the headliner.
(I um, have not read the other stories yet but my love of Stealing Time is THAT GREAT that I am confident that I will not be proven wrong.)
“The Naughty List” sounds great. I’m adding it to my list. Thanks for the giveaway, and get well soon!
Thanks for the chance.
Let’s go with clever. Made me smile.
Thanks for the chance and feel better soon!
Post or tweet “Orange you giving me this prize?” or something equally clever/sweet anywhere you see me online.
You know you’re gonna send me those oranges, Wendy. You know you love me best. 😉
This is true. Don’t tell the others.
I’m leaving another comment.. 🙂
This had me at chocolate
Hope you feeling better!
If I allowed myself to have those orange chocolate things more than once a year, I’d say I’m addicted to them. As it is, I’m merely pining for them. PINING. Also, that’s an amazing idea for a novella and I’m probably going to beat the orange chocolate craving by picking up the collection right now. And, you know, also ordering some orange chocolate things…
I don’t think I’ve seen this brand here before!
I’d like to try the mint one and cautiously the strawberry one. I don’t actually like dark chocolate very much most of the time.
